Default Urgent help/advice needed cos engine trouble

Went to my car last night and noticed a puddle of oil under the car,
opened the bonnet and there was oil all down the o/s inner wing and
the sump gaurd was covered, got a torch to see where it it was leaking from and noticed that the breather pipe that fits onto the airbox was off.
checked the oil level before starting it and it was just above min so topped it up then fired it up.looked back under the bonnet and there was oil spitting out of the breather pipe and that was only on tickover i did'nt try any revs i just turned it straight off.

car is a 91 4x4 saff running stg3.

it could be that the breather was blocked. as you've started or if you drove it the nite before, the crank case pressure could have been so much that it clear the system but its just caked in oil now, Had the same problem on mine. Had oil coming out for a while until i took the breather off and cleaned all out. Never done it since.

I have heard that the standard breather wont take the pressure of high boost but for it to spit out oil on tickover when there is no boost running through the engine is what's worrying me,if you put your hand over the top of the breather pipe (air box end) it will soak your hand in oil,it's spitting the oil out out at quite a rate.

Went back to the car to have another look in daylight and rather that spitting the oil out the breather pipe it's gulping it out, again i did'nt rev it to see if it got worse it was just on tickover.
The engine itself sounds normal, there's no misfire or running lumpy!

I can only think its a breather pipe full of oil creating constant suction from your sump? clean your breather, shitty job in an awkward place too.

Have took the little plastic breather apart to clean it and want to take out
the oil seperator but it wont budge,is it bolted on to anything or is it just held
in place by the pipe that goes onto the sump?

How old is the turbo on it , is it in good nick ?? It may be its failed and is pressurizing the crankcase pumping fumes out of the easiest place, i.e the breather !
