My dad has a 1.8TD Mondeo Estate, over the past few weeks when he accelerates hard a cloud of smoke seems to ploom out of the exhaust its a dark white in colour.
It just passed the mot yesterday and emmisions were fine.
He does alot of motorway driving about 400+ miles a week.
Hes not to worried about it as it doesnt seem to be affecting the performance or relaiblity of the motor.
Any help in getting to the bottom of it would be much appricated.

it's a diesel.... isn't that a design feature? All the ones I get behind do..

 

LOL not really on started happening 2weeks ago hes had it for a year and a bit.

Is that what happens on most cars when the turbos gonna give up the ghost?

 

white smoke usually tends to be the sign of a head gasket goin.

white smoke=water......
