Hi, well here goes with my first post! So i'll make it an easy one, I need to change the oil pressure switch (leaking) on my Escort GTI, I already have the new one but when i got home noticed it has'nt got a copper washer on it? It's been a while but whenever i have changed them on my MK3's they always had a washer on? So my question is: Does the zetec need the washer or not?
Thanks in advance.....

The switch will only need a washer if the thread is paralel. If it is slightly tapered then a small amount of thread sealant and and wind it in until it gets tight.
