Question Rs Turbo...... Help!!!! UPDATE...... PROBLEM SORTED....

Right..... I need some help....

As most of you will know I am running a mk3 escort cabriolet with an RS Turbo in her. Stage one at about 165-170bhp (at the min).

A few weeks back the gearbox went so I sourced another gearbox, booked a day or 2 off work and fitted it. Now the bugger wont run properly! Absolutley nothing wrong with the new box, its more of an idling/running issue (or lack of). She fires up but wont hold her idling. If you fire her up with foot on accelerator she runs, she missfires every few seconds but runs, take your foot off to let it idle but she just dies. I have changed plugs, ht leads, cap, rotor arm thinking it was one of those but it's still the same. I have a Cossy coil pack on her which I bought from national day last year, dont think thats at fault otherwise she wouldnt run at all.
Absolutley no running issues with her when the box went, infact I was driving her about with just 1,2,3 and 5th gear for a week or 2 when my subaru went in for a clutch. Just cant think wats the problem.....

Any idea's??

Nick

Did you move your metering unit? if so i would start checking all the boost hoses for secureness and make sure there are no splits in any of them.
