Hi all- I`m just in the middle of swapping the engine & box in my mk6 1.6 (97R) for a mk5 (93K) 1.8 XR3i (130). Has anyone done this swap? If so how do I go about the EDIS module? Is there a way to bypass it? I`m keeping the original wiring in the mk6 but swapping the ECU for the XR3i one. Is there anything thing else I should be aware of before I send what`s left of my 3i to scrap? Many thanks in advance - Rob

 

take the whole engine loom and ecu from the mk5 and run it on the mk6 leavign the mk6 loom out will be the easiest way same as doing a zetec conversion to most things like a mk4 escort.
