Default brake pressure problem on mk3 escort

im doing a resto on my y reg mk3 escort ive just renewed all the brake pipes, put a 2wd cosworth rear disc conversion and 4x4 cosworth front brakes on, they all seem to bleed up fine with no air but there is no pressure in the pedal it just drops to the floor,it did used to have brakes before it was parked up over a year or so ago,any ideas wot it could be??
cheers

unbolt the rear calipers when you are bleeding them - the bleed nipples, when the calipers are bolted in place, will not be the highest point of the caliper, meaning that not all of the air will had been removed
