Default focus 2ltr running prob's..

howdo all. i'm staring to have a couple of teething prob's with my 2ltr ghia focus. it's started revving it's self up to between 4-5K. only does it a couple of time's a week so far. it did it the other day then started to die on me. shortly after when driving it would'nt take any throttle. then it just started workin again also when you start it the dial's do a full sweep then sort them selves out. but when i started it after the running problem they did'nt do the sweep.

the trip meter reset's it's self every day or so aswell.

just a couple of small prob's that are really pissing me off!!

any help would be really appreciated...

possibly the vehicle speed sensor in the gearbox, sounds similar to what used to happen on my old 2 litre, mine used to cut out aswell. new vss sorted it.
