hi,im replacing the cvh with a 2.0 zetec and running it on twin 40s webber.
i dont know what i do with the wiring though,im not the best when it comes to this field!!
what do i need to do or buy to get the engine to have a spark????i have a low budget though!
cheers for any help
The only thing that wouldn't be connected would be the injectors and MAF.. technically the ECU will be running on a base map (due to the MAF being unplugged), but it'd be more than adequate for simple spark control.
Any early 92-93 ECU & loom from any zetec-engineered car would be ideal..
Well no, you're gonna have to make them work together.. The zetec loom won't need much more than power from your original loom.. and the tacho output.. and fuel pump perhaps..
if you get an esc modual from an early fiesta (mk3 1.1 for example as long as its got a coil pack not a dissy) ) this will use the standard crank trigger from the zetec and a vacume line plumed into the inlet for the advance and they are realy easy to wire up
how do you mean the mk5 carb stuff?is the zr3i mk5 not on a carb?ive never had one i only ever kept myself to the mfi xr3i?is it just a stamdard mk5 escort 1.8 or is it a smaller engine?
oh right,so i just dont connect the single point injection....well therell be nowhere to connect it anyway,it wont run badly or nothing without all plugs connected then?cheers for all your help!!
