frst engine help

Default frst engine help

hi guys i took the head off my frst and notised a crack goin along the block and through to piston liner.i got another engine and i am doin the work myself what is the best way of removing the bottom end? ive unbolted it from the gearbox but dont have enough room to fully seperate them to lift the bottom end out?

if your doing it that way put a jack under the bellhousing end of the gear box and jack it right up and lift the engine up at an angle with it then it will slide out

you mite have to take the mount off tho

watch you dont jack it up to far tho as you mite split the cv boot

agreed with clarke easiest way support engine on jack take of bottom pulley though to give more clearance hope this helps
