ECUs again!
Just looking for a bit of advise really, new to this!
I have a 1800 16V XR2i. I've got the 2.0L Cams, Throttle Body and MAF. Now I'm thinking about which ECU to get, or not at all.
I'm aware of the three Mk1 Mondeo ones to use but am I right in thinking that the XRs wiring loom is different to that of the Mondeo? So would need a little re wiring.
I've also read that someone was running a 2.0L zetec on a 105hp 1.8 ECU(so same as what I alrady have) and noticed little power boost when changing it for the Mondeo one.
So I'm really asking is that the case, that it doesn't make too much difference? Or am I wrong in thinking changing the ECU will be a difficult and its really 'plug n play' so to speak?
