Level 1 was the ECU fitted to the 3 Door Sierra RS Cosworth.

Level 6 was the ECU fitted to the Sapphire 2wd Cosworth.

Level 8 was the ECU fitted to the Sapphire 4wd Cosworth.

P8 was the ECU fitted to the Escort Cosworth.

l8 is there prefered ecu to modify like closed loop ect as for fitting think you need a 4x4 tps and you have to swap the oposite end wires round but apart from that itll plug straight in

L6 would be a straight replacement(as long as it's got a correct chip for your spec)

L8 you would have to replace the tps and swap the 2 outter wires that goes to it and also get a chip to suit your spec!

Great thanks very much

Would you gain any noticeable benifits from using a 4x4ecu?

Can you only run closed loop etc on a L8 ecu?
