im planing to start building a 2.0 zetec mid this year im hopeing for around 400bhp this is wat im planing to do to get that power
2.0zetec
rebore to a 2.1
steel con rods
forgd pistons
acrelit piston rings
MULTI-SHIM head gasket
stage 3 head
fast road cam
titanium vavle springs
twin 45's (and manigment system)
full stainless system
STEEL FLYWHEEL

i think thats it
so wot power do u think i would get from that?
and wot clutch would i hafto use to cope with the power?

better off using throttle bodies instead of carbs and i reckon u'll see 300bhp tops. u'd need to use turbo power to get over 300 from a zetec.

 

really i was thinking that
dont no enough about setting up turbos at the momment
oh well better start studing :L

Think on the twin 45's realisticly looking at 200bhp max with out silly rev's

 

twin 45's port n polish exhaust = 200bhp FTW

any more you'll be looking at raising the capability of the engine to go to ~9000rpm with silly cams etc, but i very much doubt you'll reach anywhere near 300bhp without a turbo.... or supercharger

 

You'll never see 400BHP NA from a Zetec

More like 200 BHP from that spec.
