Default Xr2 Cvh Cams

Hi there,
I trying to figure what cams and wether the get a modified head from burton or somewhere when i rebuild the cvh in my xr2. to the point what is the highest lift cam you can use in a standard cvh head?

think its just a fast road one u can use with standard lifters etc!cvh22 i think??


i got a stage 2 head from burtons for my mk2 xr2 around 6 years ago!i was not impressed!was told that it had the modified stem seals so did not bother too check,fitted head and it smoked like a bitch!only to find it had the old style stem seals !and the valves were not lapped in!

just keep your eyes peeled on flea bay or here should pick up a decent modded head somewhere mate

The valve seats were probably cut on a Serdi machine or similar where you shouldn`t lap the valves. Lapping them destroys the seat, they work beautifully if cut correctly and vacuum tested afterwards.

my head was aweful when i took it off and done a leak check on the valves with liquid within hour nearly all the liquid had seeped past the valves

try ht racing at brands hatch mate they are very good ive had work done by them 100% worth the wait in my book
