Default Interior light problem

Interior light on my car has not been working recently. I had a look the other day, there is a red wire with a permanent live, a brown wire with a permanent earth, and a brown/white wire which i believe should have an earth when the door/s opened.

My problem is there is no earth when the door/s are opened, anybody know what might be causing this and how can i fix it??

Regards, Ed.

Did it use to stay on for like 20sec's when u close the door when your ignition is off cos it could be the relay that is in the fuse box's that's knackered

Unscrew the pin switch screws in the doors and retighten. They are the earth and can corrode quite easily.

See if that cures the problem for you
