A colleague of mine has a peugot 106 1.4 diesel turbo. It uses oil like there's no tomorrow and can't climb hills unless in first gear. Loads of smoke out of exhaust when he puts his foot down.

He thinks his turbo could be knackered, would the oil be the oil seals needing replacement ?
Do you know if this is a user serviceable item ?

Any help much appreciated.

 

surely it dont need the turbo 2 get up the hill could just be fucked!!!!! then again its a peugeot!!!

he might be looking at the air box cover which says t.u diesel ,thats the engine code tud4,
