Fitting car glass
Its time to refit the rear quarter windows and windscreen into my 3-door after the re-spray, How easy is this to do? I would imagine theres probably more to it than just squirting some glue in the window aperture and then shoving the glass in!
Any advice on what sort of glue to use and what preparations to make to the bonding surfaces would be highly appreciated, also does it matter what sort of temperature i fit them in, how long do they take to fully adhere and whats the best way to hold them in place without damaging the paintwork with horrible sticky tape?

Honestly, the best way would be to drop a windscreen fitter a few quid.
It can be done diy, but just not worth the hassle if you have a leak, as when it comes out again it will almost certainly break.
The normal process is to use a wipe stuff with a little brush around the area where the goop seal is going, this is a rust inhibitor, and also de greases the area to help sealant to stick, the guns of sealant are seriously hard work to push the tubes, most places use a electric motor bit on these, then screen is lifted on by means of suckers, there are two wedges at either end bottom of the screen to set it's exact position, turning these as they are on a cam makes the screen higher or lower.
The side ones are same prep then pop into place, mine have always been held with 1" wide masking tape, never left a mark yet, that a bit of soap and water wouldn't move anyway.

dont bother doing it yourself mate...not trying to make the job sound hard but it aint worth it considering the car..ive seen many trying to do it themselves and making an arse of it...u will need some dergreaser, primer and the glue..all have to be compatible with each other to work properly...thats if u can get any that is..i would reckon a fitter would charge you around between Ł50-Ł70 on the side to fit these..
