Having a few problems with carbs...
I have a zetec on bike carbs which are setup for the engine.
but the car is running very bad, it only slowly revs and then bangs when you let off
all four carbs are getting fuel but what could cause it to rev so slow with a bang when i rev it to say 6k?
also theres hardly any pull at all.
any suggestions to these symptoms?
thanks

Hi
have you got a manual choke connected up?if not its not stuck on choke?
any air leaks?
or check that the needle diaphams have not split?
are they getting flat out on the throttle cable?

im completely stuck now, i might have to take it back to bogg brothers and ask them to have another look
i hope its not lean as its quite a drive to bogg brothers and if its too lean i might not get there....
might have another look for air leaks tonight.
thanks
well im no further forward really,
if i pull the carbs up (they have abit of give on the silicone hoses) so there sitting at more of an angle to the engine, it brings the idle up abit, and its a smoother idle, but the throttle linkage doesnt move (so its not the throttle being pressed)
is that an air leak or do the carbs prefer to sit at that angle?
i couldnt find any leaks near the silicone hoses though.
thanks

are you running a fuel filter?could have drawn sum shit in carbs?
fuel pressure ok?
prima racing have stuff to do with bike carbs aswell if thats any nearer(in nottingham)
they normally sit at an angle (upwards)but the bowls are straight and controlled by the floats to ensure fuel delivery constantly!
