Default EFI fuel pump on MFI system...

ive converted my mk5 escy to run a ERST engine using a RS2000 efi fuel pump, will this provided enough fuel pressure to run the system??

if not which in-tank pump can i use

No mate, I don’t think it will as the EFI fuel pressure is a lot lower than the pressure needed to run the mfi system

Cheers

The fact that the car is running must mean that the pump must be capable of supplying sufficient pressure 90 psi but can is supply sufficient fuel under load, on boost to maintain that pressure
Fit a fuel pressure gauge and find out

Cheers

will be ok until it is,nt ie you will not no until its to late

also never bring fuel into the car most dangerous! use a electrionic type of gauge you can read in the car!

and the answer is NO the EFi pump is nowhere near good enough either in pressure or fuel flow

ive had to order a "motorsport" one. i suppose that tag justifies its 135+vat price tag oh well it will sort my car out anyways
