Give it a good wire brushing and a dose of penetrating oil, I normally use a nice tight socket and try to tighten it first to break the seal then undo it!

ok on the track car, went round checking nipples yesterday, new front calipers are fine, so great of to a good start i thought! checked nearside rear drum, again fine, loosened off easy! then got to the last one, the offside rear, and yup its seized.
seems to me like it is bent up towards the top of the cylinder a bit, as i cant get a spanner on it the same way that i could the nearside!
what i plan to do, is strip the whole shebang down, which i would of done yesterday, but i dont have a 32mm socket to get the hub nut off, only got one up to 30mm! grrrr, raging at this time. anyway, strip the lot down, take the cylinder to a garage, get them to drill it out and fit a new one, as ive no experience wth doing that!!! then refit the new calipers, new braided lines, and then finally bleed the new brake fluid that nuts rus kindly supplied!!
does this sound like a plan? or how easy is it to drill it out yourself? as said, ive no experience with this, so dont know how you would go about re threading the hole?

well if your gunnna be takin it off then as long as it's not already snapped u could keep havin a go to work it out .. only get it drilled if u snap it, n try n keep working it with the oil that ur usin if u soak it n leave it for the night it will give u better result's a few light taps with a hammer on the bleed nipple hard enough to shock it but not hard enough to flatten it
and around the area where it's siezed .. then get a real snug fittin spanner on it so it doesn't slip n try tapping it round with the hammer the shock's will break where it's siezed if it's already rounded then u'v 2 option's either have a pair of mole grips super tight on it or file a new edge to get a purchase on with a spanner or ajustable witch would be more reliable
usually abit of patience n time will get almost n e nut or bolt unsiezed n i would no i spend about 40 hours in 3 day's removing a pivot bolt on a 21yr old motorbike it took 2 cans of 3in1 a few tools n alot of swearin but it came out eventually, if u have no result's n it is stuck tight n prob's snapped by this time then i would advise somone else to drill it for you cos it has to be drilled dead straight, n if there skilled enough they will drill it n leave the original thread in there for you aswell
