Default My 1989 escort rs wont start

Hi guys, Please help as i really need to use my car tonight. I bought it yesterday and everything ran really really well. I am so pleased with it! The best rs I have driven.
I let the turbo cool down, turned engine off, went inside then my mate came round about half an hour later. I went to start it up to take him out in it and there was nothing apart from a kind of electrical clicking from the engine bay. There is no fuel pump relay or prime or anything.
The same thing happened with a honda I had and it was the inertia switch but I cant for the life of me find where it is. If anyone knows where it is then please let me know.
If there are any other things it could be then I will be most grateful! It has a laserline immob on it but the aa man yesterday disconnected it from the ignition side so im pretty sure it aint that!
I look forward to hearing your comments guys and hope to be back and on boost soon!

Cheers

Chris

ok so i just took a cable from the starter to positive on batt and now it turns over but i just dont get a fuel pump priming sound.
I have bridged the fuel pump relay, numbers 30 and 87 and still nothing, are they the correct ones?

Please please help someone

have you tried to bump start the car? I know its a crude method but it will help rule out a number of electrical possibilities i.e. the main wiring to the fuel pump

thanks for your reply mate. No I havent tried to bump it as it is only me here on my own today.
There is no fuel pump prime and the same thing happened on a honda I had. It was the inertia switch but I cant find it on this escort. I dont think it has one.

Any other options mate?

Have you checked fuses? There is a fuse for the pump in the fuse box.

yes it does have an immob fitted a laserline piece of shite. The aa man disconnected it from the ignition barrel yesterday and the immob light doesnt flash and the key fob doesnt work which indicates to me that the immobiliser is off.
Got aa coming in a bit and going to get em to tow me to a garage. I know it is immob probs so will get garage to get it back to norm and then get a decent alarm fitted.
