Default full throttle boost problems, S2 ERST

I'm getting a bit stumped here.... I used to suffer from terrible boost drop, like from 10psi to 5psi, so changed the actuator for a -31 type and hey presto got the same problem, however dropping from 15psi to 10psi. Was then told it was the Amal valve, plus I was getting the boost cut after 5 or 6 seconds of full throttle, so bypassed the Amal valve completely and fitted a three port bleed valve. It now holds a rock solid 12psi, however I'm STILL getting what feels like boost cut after sustained full throttle in the higher gears. How the hell can this be happening? The amal valve is still connected electronically but no boost pipes are connected to it, they all connect to the bleed valve. What's causing the power to shut off momentarily at full throttle? Have I been replacing all these components for no damn reason at all?

have you fitted a chip in the ecu to bypass the boost cut out ? I believe its about 10 psi on erst's.

Are all your plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor etc all ok ?

I had a similair problem to yours which I cured by soldering a 1 inch piece of wire between the two terminals on the rotor arm, keeps a constant and strong spark then all the way up the rev range. Hope this helps

No, I haven't fitted a chip yet, I thought it was the amal valve that sensed boost pressure?

The standard ECU cuts in at 10.5 psi of boost. If you want to run more than that you need to get your ECU chipped.

fit a chip mate and that will bypass your cut out, you can run what boost you like then without it cutting out
