Default understeer or just my imagination??

alrighty there folks!

quick question for you all...

i have just had my ball joints/bottom arm assembly changed on my 2wd saf.
I now think the car understeers badly in the wet where is was ok before?
would changing these parts effect anything camber/tracking wise that would cause bad understeer??
OR
is it just my imagination or something else ??
cheers!

Maybe you schould try checking suspension geometry, generally each time to you something withe suspenntion it changes slightly. Or aybe it's just time to set it right.

changing them will change the toe setting slightly (also known as the tracking). this can dramatically affect the andling. get it set up back to std spec, best on a 4 wheel laser alignment rig, rather than the old style gauges.

IIRC Zoo use Dunlop gauges. As do other motorsport places.

You know - I know people who can set geometry with two curtain hangers and a stick when doing quick service to rally/rallycross car, but that's not the point

Is the point that 'anybody' can use the laser setup?

I know polaces where they got best possible laser insruments and set geometry badly and places with older ones where they know how to use it.
