s2 misfiring problem,any advice??

Default s2 misfiring problem,any advice??

hi all
i need help with my series 2,ive recently had an full engine rebuild,just run it in had the oil change but stiil have one little problem it keeps misfiring mainly when the turbo should kick in..ive had problems with the misfire ever since i brought it,ive changed distributor cap,changed the hd leads and still dosent want to know,so changed the spark plugs on sunday,drives a lot better but still lumpy and missing when the turbo kicks!!does anyone else know any other options apart from me takin it back to a garage??amy....

have you had it set up ?was it a standard rebuild?

yeah it was a standard rebuild,before i had the rebuild it was setup to run 15psi and after the work was done they set it to 10 psi,wasnt sure whether this would effect it.the car does have a chip 2..

try your spark plug gaps, if they to big the boost will blow the spark out mate

Try another dizzy on there to see if that makes a difference, quite often the little black plug on the top comes loose causing it to misfire. Have a look on yours and see if it is still tight to the dizzy

ok will try new dizzy and check the gappin,the man that did the engine build said to gap it at 30 thou but a lot of people reckon thats wrong,so maybe changing the gap might help,will give a go,thanks..just very frustrating as u can all imagine having a new engine and not being able yo drive it!!!!!

It had a really basic setup for the MOT when that was done but has not been setup by a professional tuner although, this is something i would like to do but not sure where to take her who has a reputable reputation. Can anyone suggest somewhere i could take her, don`t mind travelling for the right garage.

The sparkplugs were changed yesterday and i was told that the gap had to be about 30 tho? Is this right? This has made a slight difference, but still not right.
