hi need a little help with car right i bought a focus auto with a fucked engine anyway bought a running engine out of same year but manual so stripped it all out and put all n the auto car changed flywheel and torque converter crank sencor built it ll up and it turns over but will not fire there is no spark and i dont no why am i missing something

ps its a 2000 1.6 auto focus zetec s engine

I would firstly recheck everything you have done connection wise as most likely a plug not on somewhere, but cps would be a fave, make sure yiou use the auto cps as the manual one is shorter(I beleive) and will not generate a signal on auto as ring gear around torque convertor too far away, worth a check.

i have and also now had rac out to it and he had no clue what so ever i have been to motor factors today and cps is listed as same as manual i tried the old one i took out and nothing can anyone tell me is there a chip in the key would that cause no spark but engine turns over if all else fails im thinking ecu ?? is there any way of testing this or pest place to send this

 

The key will be chipped but if using the same ecu then it is no problem, the chip is a little red bit on the keys edge, try the other keys as very occasionally these can play up, what is the pats light doing ?

my key is blue on corner not red??? What's the light ur on about after the engine was fitted a d all conected back up the first thing that happened was all gauges and speedo ECT went to max then dropped back does this make any sense to anyone
