Default Cossi Brake bleeding problems

How do you bleed a complete system got no pressure to the rear. Has any one doctored a cosworth abs system to fit an old ford, ie:- useing the elc/pump/ master cylinder /acumilator. but leaving out the distribution valve block and abs module.. if so any info will be greatfully recieved.

Extremely basic, but start on the wheel furthest from the tank, and go:
Left rear wheel, right rear wheel, left front wheel, right front wheel. Repeat untill only fluid pumps through, and remember to refill the tank

Yes , no difference. I must explain that this is fitted to an anglia so have only plumbed in the master cylinder, not valve block or abs, with the 2 outer ports on master going to the front and the centre outlet going to rear. hope this is correct.

you have to bleed the rear brakes with the engine running.

Don't you lose servo assisted brakeing when you come on boost due to inlet manifold produceing positive pressure instead of vacuum ?

I had the the symptoms you describe - no pressure or fluid to the back. I found that my servo failed. Disconnect the middle connection coming out of the servo and see if fluid sprays out when you press the pedal. The middle connection is for the back. Mine was seized and I had to fit a replacement servo - only 20 quid in the end.

Thanks for that, when you mean replaced servo ,did you mean you replaced the master cylinder, or the valve block on nearside engine bay.

It is the master cylinder assembly - back left of engine bay as you look from the front of the car - just behind the turbo heatshield. Brake pedal is attached to it. You'll see it has three outputs under the reservoir. Front and back outlet are front left and front right brakes. Middle output is for the back brakes. Disconnect the middle and press the brake pedal. If fluid doesn't spurt out you have a dead master cylinder. Get a replacement. If you have a 4X4 I have a spare you're welcome to. Mine is 2WD.
