I had the the symptoms you describe - no pressure or fluid to the back. I found that my servo failed. Disconnect the middle connection coming out of the servo and see if fluid sprays out when you press the pedal. The middle connection is for the back. Mine was seized and I had to fit a replacement servo - only 20 quid in the end.
