Unhappy co level too high.

as title,co level is @ 4% and cant adjust it any lower on the potentiometer,i can adjust it richer but not lower than 4%.i took this engine and ecu out of my transit that i had and all was ok in there.it runs ok but there is a slight misfire on full throttle.i've fitted new 071 plugs, decent leads etc aswell as a fse boost valve which is set up spot on.run out of ideas except for changing the ecu which i'll try in the next couple of days.any suggestions?

Get rid of the FSE first, or just turn down the fuel pressure.

i've turned the pressure down to 2.8 bar without vacuum, which does lower the co a bit,but still cant achieve a figure even close to what it should be.whats wrong with the fse valve?ford dont sell original ones anymore.

You don't need a ford one just a decent one, seen a few fse give this exact problem, where the rail pressure keeps altering, can even happen to older ford ones.
I changed mine today for a RS500 one on me sapph, as had fluctuating fp, perfect now, cut ring off around old one and took bits out, there was a small spring inside with a pintle on the end that was broken, but main spring and diaphragm was ok.
Have you looked at CTS value ?

the fuel seems to keep a constant pressure, though i'm not dismissing this and will try another valve just in case.also what is the cts value?
thanks.
