Question cossie running problems

hi all i have a 2wd sapphire the problem is that it has an idle problem and has a splutter when you are at a constant speed it doen't hunt when idleing its poping out the exhaust and feels like it wants to cut out but then fine again for a second if the ambient air tempreture sensor is unplugged it runs like a swiss watch the fueling has been checked through the rev range and is fine it its got a new at sensor wt sensor and crank sensor but made no diference plugs cap and rotor are also new

You have afuelling issue as the only thing that the air temp sensor does is apply a TINY correction to the fuel map.
I would check the basics like rail pressure first.

and i bet your are running champion c57 plugs....?

if so - get rid - they are cheap but cause all sorts of lumpy arse idle issues in my experience. if its running std boost then the best plugs for it that will make a huge difference to the smoothness of the idle are the small turbo esocs platinum ones motorcraft no AGPR12PP8.

Im running C57 plugs and never ad a prob with em on road or track, so guess its maybe same as -71s some good and some not so.

It's worth swapping the plugs in case they are super sensitive to the mix, as aid I would use AGPR12PP8, ace plug up to around 300bhp, after that IK31.
