Default Taking appart an EDIS module connector

Does anyone know how to take the pins out the EDIS module connector? I'm bulding a loom and dont want to solder onto the wires currently sticking out it, would much rather take them out and put in new pins.

oo and what about the coil pack connector?

Cheers
JAmes.

You just unclip the red piece inside the plug and then the wires fall out behind..

Tried that already and they dont just come out the back, they wiggle about a little but still seem to be latched onto something.

You need these tools, the EDIS plugs have a double latch (top and bottom) IIRC, with the extraction tool slotted into the housing I push the terminal back from the rear of the housing.....what happens is as you insert the extraction tool it pushes the terminal too far back and jams it preventing an easy extraction...

Hope that makes sense pal....

Cheers guys, i've just worked it out.

Take off the back bit at the back and digg out the red rubbery bit. Take out the red bit at the front. get a small flatblade and run it down the top of the pin and slot it under the tiny plastic catch, the pin then comes out the back of the connector.

Ian - I think you might be talking about the coil pack connector? it looks like its double latched.

I'm off to find another screwdriver to see if I can get it too

Cheers
