You need these tools, the EDIS plugs have a double latch (top and bottom) IIRC, with the extraction tool slotted into the housing I push the terminal back from the rear of the housing.....what happens is as you insert the extraction tool it pushes the terminal too far back and jams it preventing an easy extraction...
