what tire/ tyre advice

help, at the mo my car is fitted with some wheel and tire package by the looks of it inovit rims with 205 40 17"sport one" tires hmm not so clever,brought another set of rims with no tyres,i always used to to use toyo proxes on previous cars,any suggestions ?? it get used every day and i dont want something too soft,but i dont want something thats going to kill me like the ones on now . help please
i've got them sport one on my cossie , youre right about them being rubbish , especially inthe wet , i rate uniroyal rainsport personally , but anything is better than whats on at mo .

hi,thanks for the info,what size rating price.the 4kn s/one things are a joke in the wet,even though i still get a buzz out of going past somone s~n~a~k~e~ i~n~g in the wet
.but serious,they are shit and i find worse at slow speed in wet.
Hi mate i run a tyre shop, if you want something grippy but don't want to spend the earth then you can't go far wrong with a barum bravuris 2.
Very similar compound to continental sport contact 3's but massively cheaper.
I sell raft's of em in 17" and people come back for em again and again, they sound perfect for what your'e after.

thanks for that,had a quick look and they seem cheap enough,two of my mates own their own tyre shops so i will have to go and have a word and see what i can get for what money.
