does the xr5i use a mt75 gear box ?

2.8 xr4i uses a type 9 as standard

oh right thanks. so the sapphire cossie uses a mt75 ?

2wd cossie use T5, type 9 would not be up to the job in a cossie, xr4i/2.8i(capri) ones are slightly different to std type 9's ratio wise I beleive.

im looking at doing a cosworth 4x4 conversion. what kind of work is involved, i know its a lot ! but just wondered what is was i would need to change ?

A lot of work but can be done, and has been done before, probably best to start with crashed 4wd cossie.

andrew gallacher does the fabrication work but would he fit the running gear if i supplied it ?
