How to weld rear diff / 1.8 sierra?

as above Just bought a cheap sierra for a field car and just wandering how to weld the rear diff. any guides , picture , advice.

weld it so its a locked diff-------but not on the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats not really an answer to his question.I think he means How do you weld the diff to lock it.

Unbolt the back plate from the diff.
rince it all out with brake cleaner.
weld the 4 planet gears together.
put back plate back on and fill with oil.
Enjoy

thanks mate the planet gears , I think i know what they are , these need welding together and to the housing they are in, correct?

they are the 4 gears arranged in a square all facing in so to speak. I welded those all together and i love it. I wish i did it years ago instead of keep buying shit diffs lol
