Question overbore on 1.8 zetec possible?

Hi, i have a 1.8 zetec engine laying around can i bore this out to 86mm? this to accept lower comp pistons for a turbo application.
Or should i start with a 2.0 zetec?
Am kinda hoping 1.8 is the same but with smaller bores.

regards, rinus

(silver top btw)

It's not the same, the 2.0 with 84.8mm bore is siamesed for strength at this bore.. I wouldn't want to build a high power turbo engine on a 1.8 at 86mm!!

iv seen a 400+bhp built from a 1.8 block but over bored to 2.1 cant remeber the bore size that was used, but for £50 for a 2.0ltr block your better off using that
