Could anybody tell me what fuel pressure a standard saph cos runs please?

3 bar vac pipe on, around 3.5 with pipe off and plugged, in practice though around 3.7/3.8 bar with pipe off

thanks

basically wanted to know as i have some braided fuel hose for my mk4, and needed to make sure it was up to the job

its the same as a mate is running on his cossie

my pressure reg is set at 3.5 bar, so should all be ok

The correct answer is 3.5 bar with the pipe off.

The pipe ON figure is pretty meaningless as it depends on manifold depression. The pipe OFF figure is a constant and the only one that should be used to determine fuel pressure.

Its also worth bearing in mind that it MUST raise with boost in a linear 1:1 fashion.
