Hi its kevs dad after a bit of advice. Doing an oil change on my 2000 BMW 528i at the weekend. BMW recommend 0w 40 fully synthetic. Bought some Mobil 1 15w 40 fully synthetic at RS day on sunday 5 Litres for 25 quid. Would it be OK to us that in the BMW or should I stick to the 0w 40 and get ripped of at Halfords and pay 40 quid? Ta.
i used 5/40 in my old 328i but dont do as i did, cut open an old oil container to drain it into only to find it holds close to 6 ltrs of oil, the drive was covered.
