Talking Engine loom problem

Just putting a new loom in my 3 door got it all sorted apart from one plug, it is in the car under the dash. Got the relays and the ECU plug in place got a black plug with 5-6 wires but dont know where it goes, cant see any empty plugs. Should there be a wire that travels from the passnger side to the drivers side, and whats it for. Can anyone help?

Not the main power plug for the loom? Should have about 6 wires in it?
two thicker wires, black and black with a red tracer and a white wire and a thin green one from memory?

Yes i think thats it, its the only one with a black end and 6 wires. Theres a blue wire thats been cut, cant find the plug it goes into. Looks like it should run from where the loom comes through the dash over to the drivers side i think. D o you know if thats right or where the plug should be that it goes into. Think its a 2wd sapph loom and its going in my 3-door, any help would be a great help

Just whizzed this off one of Tabethas posts:
RED/BLUE = PERMANENT LIVE
BLACK = SWITCHED LIVE(ignition switch)
BLACK/RED = FUEL PUMP(live)
BROWN/WHITE TEMP GAUGE
2wd have thin green which is tacho and a brown/red which is air con leading to a purple relay taped to loom.
BROWN/GREEN should be oil pressure warning light.

Do a search for 'engine loom colours' its been covered a few times. The plug should be up near the bulkhead somewhere, but if its not there for any reason, its easy enough to hard wire.

Most likely they will have taken the power from the oe place as it is convenient, it is usually hidden under the loom that goes up the nearside footwell and over the very base of the screen area to the offside to ignition fusebox etc, you will almost defo have to pull loom off the top of the plug as it hides it well, and being dark in there is even worse.
At least the connector does pull apart quite easily, be sure it is 2WD loom as there are a few differences with 4WD, I have now come across at least 4 variations of cossie loom, just on sapphy.

Thanx just found a plug that i think must have gone to the pectel monitor, its got all the right colour wires apart from a thick red one. Looks like its been soldered into the red/blue wire, not sure why. Going to cut the old plug off and replace both ends with a new plug, I HATE WIRING
