Focus Central Locking
Please help me!
Having a problem with my mk1 focus zetec remote central locking, when i press the button on the key, the car locks but then opens up straight away. Also the passenger door lock switch dosen't move. Same thing happens when i use the key in the drivers door. The only way to lock the car is to use the key in the passenger door and it's driving me nuts! Anyone got any ideas?

The central locking will unlock again if a door is still open or on the latch, or if the handle is not in a lockable position.
You'll probably find it's because the passenger's door lock is gummed up, because the key's never turned in it, and/or because the door handle had hardly any use. My old Sierra was the same. Wound me up something chronic.
