metering head on s2!!!! any thoughts?

Default metering head on s2!!!! any thoughts?

i went to start my erst the other day after been sitting for a month and suprise suprise, she was having none of it! i cracked off some fuel pipes and found that fuel was getting to the metering unit but none to the injectors. i got a spare one of a mate and fitted it today, also found a build up of petrol in the bottom of the boost pipe (wierd) im gonna try and start her tomorrow and if she dont go im probably gonna cry!!!!!! can any one give any advice on this?

Common fault when metering units dont get used for a while. The seal in them leaks fuel into the airbox. Cant repair them. Only replace them and they are getting very rare.

i will go efi (one day) but cant afford it at the moment! just tried to start her today after fitting a different meter head and splutterd a bit but didnt go. took one of the injector pipes of the meter head and fuel was coming through but with not enough pressure? shall i just burn the car now or does any one have any ideas what it could be to try and save her?
