Default gearbox rattle

last week or so I've noticed a rattle from my saff 4x4's gearbox. It goes when you put your foot ont he clutch,so I reckon it's clutch release bearing or lay shaft bearing, thing is, it had a gearbox rebuild and new clutch by a ford main dealer about 4 months ago.The car is completely standard and is not driven hard,so is it normal for these parts to be wearing so quickly or have I had a bodge job done?

yep, castrol do some specifically for the mt75 called 'FMT' around 6 quid a litre and you need 1.3 litres in the box. while u are ate it, drai the transfer boxa aswell, this holds only 0.5 litre of dexron III ATF fluid.

I had this problem on my 2wd, its because there was vibration on the input shaft causing the release bearing to break up, the possible cause was a sheared dowel on the flywheel as i noticed a burn mark on the flywheel in the area of the sheared dowel, i presumed this was the problem as it seemed the most obvious but the problem is that i changed so much during the change including new box, clutch, spigot bearing, clutch arm pivot, machined flywheel with new dowels that i couldn't be that sure what the problem was but the sheared dowel seemed the obvious explanation
