basically i've just finished putting my series 1 cab back together after respray. took it to paul hills at engine advantages to get set up and couldn't get the turbo to boost over 17psi and that was with the bleed valve removed. the system has no airleaks. the actuator opens at 13pounds which paul hills said was fine! timing is spot on. and its very very very very laggy !! its a t3 with 360tst and t34 compressor whell. turbo is brand new from turbo centre. im guessing theres proberbly something wrong with the wastegate? as its like its opening far too early or just not sealing properly. i've sent the turbo back to them today and they will get it tommorow! they said they've never had a problem with one of these turbos before, if anyone has used these before i would like to know thanx! so pissed as i was gonna see her reach over 300bhp garanteed by paul hills. suposed to have track action at ford fair this sunday so im very pissed!!! as you can all imagine!! but they promised me they will get it back to me friday.
why cant it just all go to plan !!
any ideas of what else it may be??

forged pistons,rods and crank.
was making 283 before tubula manifold, new turbo and bigger intercooler so no reason at all that it won't be over 300!

got turbo back ! they have changed the compressor housing and wastegate/elbow! but still the same i'm only making 10psi why??? put new -34 actuator on aswell! no boost leaks. actuator has plenty of preload. any ideas any1???? im running out!!!
have you tried disconnecting the actuator briefly?
if it won't go over 10psi then it's the turbo dead.
i just think you're not giving enough preload to the actuator though.
bleed valves aren't an accurate way of setting boost TBH.

brand new turbo its the second one. allready sent one back to them and they sent me this one. there is plenty off preload for sure! took bleed valve off now and should still see a bar but just not getting it?!
