My partner has a mk4 fiesta 1.3 the engine seized up on it so i decided to get another engine from a scrap yard but its from out of a 02 ford ka it is a endura e 1.3 engine, fitted the engine went to turn it over but it would not fire checked a few things and there is no spark so i replaced the ht leads and ignition module and also checked voltage from the plug going to the module all was fine but still no spark. took it to work and run the ford ids on it only fault it found was the fuel pump which i had not touched cos its in the petrol tank. you can still here the pump pressurise when you put the ignition on also changed the crankshaft sensor and checked that the flywheel was the same as old engine which it is. thought it was the ecu that had gone but brought one cheap on ebay tried that and the engine would not even turn over so now im stuck for ideas sorry this is long winded but letting you now everything ive done any help i will be greatful. ps when fitting the engine the inlet manifold was little different to the old engine i.e different plug fittings and different injecters so put the old one back on to match the wiring up. thanks
