yeah it looks like it from the pistons, what head gasket you ordered that also looks like the ones they use on the 2.1 zetec turbos

the head gasket is the cvh1.9---1.6 felpro......but it looks wrong to me (water ways)

the only thing to me that looks difference is the size of the compression rings which dont matter anyway, felpro make superb gaskets i wouldn't be to concerned about it. have you had the pistons out?

no..it came out of a running enginge so im not that fused (mates car) ...do u think its worth a look .all the bores look cool..u think it all looks ok then...surely them waterways shouldnt be like that

what you mean about the waterways dont understand exactly if you mean they are bigger holes under the gasket thats how they are mate. the pistons look like they have det at the back of the piston mine was like that and had had damaged the piston quite bad and lost 2bar compression, every time i went into boost it blew the oil cap off.

yeah plus the timing could be to advanced so instead of the spark igniting the fuel it ignits itself under pressure. air temps can also make it det if to hot. ect

when we striped the head fron the block..the cam pulley was directly on the centre of the ajuster..not ajusted either way..he had a frontcooler as well..aparently he had a turbo shiped over fron the states...it was a mothership(saw that on his old engine)....that festa was quick as fuck!!!
