HELLO ALL CAN I JUST CHANGE MY HEAD GASKET ON MY ESCORT COSWORTH FOR A GRP A ONE?? OR WILL I HAVE TO HEAD SKIMMED AND NEW HEAD BOLTS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ONE ON THERE AT PRESENT IAM JUST DOING IT FOR PIECE OF MIND.AND ALSO ON START UP SHE MISFIRES UNTIL SHE IS WARMED UP ANY IDEAS

yes you can, but fit new bolts [vw diesel bolts are the same,and much cheaper] the misfire is probably plugs, or leads ,try pulling your caps half off the plugs and then try it,as this increases the spark when it has to jump a gap

 

why are you doing it for peace of mind the GRPA one isnt better than the one you have

if it isnt broke then dont fix it , i use that as a rule
