Default Car juddering

mk4 escort xr3i efi, Pulling away in first, and in reverse the car judders really bad, shakes everything about, once it gets over about 2000 rpm, it drives fine, it has started to do it in 2nd now too, Im thinking the clutch, or the thrust bearing, someone else told me engine mounts, ive changed two of the mounts and its still as bad, its getting so bad i cant even drive it!! any answers would be appreciated

Is it a speed related problem? Does it judder doing the same speed no matter what gear you are in or is it just the gears you have mentioned?

Mine judders is in first and reverse and mine is definatly the clutch, it all at the bottom of the pedal and is more like a on/off switch, and the release bearing is whining its tits off if you have any similar probs

when driving it is quite hard to get into gear sometimes, doesnt crunch in, just needs a bit of force

Does it only judder while your slipping the clutch to pull away or is it still happening with the clutch fully out just moving slowly?

Fully out after i get past about 10mph its all smooth, its violently juddering too, i jacked the front end up and the wheels move freely, tried that coz i thought maybe the brakes were locking on or disc warped but moves freely
