hi all
i went to change the spark plugs in my escort, and two of them had oil over them.
I have heard this is due to the rocker gasket seal, is this right?
if i leave it like this for abit, can it cause any damage (like the headgasket)to the car other then loose abit of oil??
cheers

if you mean they had oil on the top end aka above the threads then no wont do your headgasket any harm at all. but may cause a missfire from the cylinders that have oil leaking onto the plugs if left for long enough. worst case is in theory it could catch fire, but thats a really big worst case (im only saying this to cover my own arse lol)
new gasket from local motorfactor should be about £12 tho and is a very easy job to do so id just wait till the weekend and do it then mate.
