Default Dull battery light on dash.....

Just had a new engine loom fitted by Dingy, buftied up the whole car and engine again etc. Fitted new battery but the battery light is very dull on the dash even though the car turns over (without coil lead for oil pressure etc)

What could this be?? Dodgy earth or something relating to chopping out the old loom??

does the light disappear when you accelerate?

Mine lights up when i start driving, once i push on the accelerator it dims and goes of but comes back on a few times, eventually goes away
