got a 1990 escort rs turbo and the engine died sudenly and wouldnt restart. got a tow home and when i got it home a mate advised me 2 rock the car and it started, we put this down 2 a dodgy starter motor. car starting up ok now but wont idle . any ideas?

 

Sounds like you have a dodgy connector/connection somewhere, just do the wiggle test, whilst running and see if it locates it.

Connectors, wiring etc.

Also have a look around the intake hoses for air leaks and make sure the dipstick is in.
