cossie oil?
I have had to rebuild the bottom end of my 87 cossie , due to a big end letting go on me. The engine is running a stage 1 , about 280bhp . The oil that i have been using is the ford oil 0w40 fully synthetic , can anyone suggest any other oil or what i should be using .
Many thanks
Dave.

20K+ Super Poster.
As said MINERAL for first 2000 miles, DON'T baby the engine either, you can after that use 10W40, BUT I wouldn't, as it gets too thin when hot, it will work ok just use a lot of oil in comparison to a heavier weight oil, will give a fraction more power(possibly), good for a group n, but not road car, use a 50 weight.
