Hi there
I have a problem with a focus mp3 1.8 that i just picked up, When it gets warm the engine wants to die over 3000 revs, if i floor it then revs die more if i keep throttle under 3k then it will drive but obviosly slowly.
Does it more under load.
More pressure on throttle, more dying. if i keep to floor engine will eventually after a lot of chugging...... stall.
Now a friend of mine works in a garage and he reckons that its the cat. The car has done 46k and drives perfect till warm.
A cat is 100 so would like some more opinions before changing it. There is no engine management light or anything like that.
Also is there away of getting around changing the cat? if its blocked can i take it off and unblock it?
Am i completely barking up the wrong tree.
Cheers
Rob
